Thriving The Future Ep. 50 – Matt from FarmHopLife

The 20×23 Project

It’s the story of every homesteader’s life – there are never enough hours in the day. There are never enough hands to help on the big projects.

What projects would you do if you could get a helping hand for a week on your homestead?

Matt from FarmHopLife Podcast and I talk about his 20×23 project next year – traveling around to farms and homesteads to lend a hand with whatever the owner needs to finish a project, plant hundreds of trees, harvest plants, process livestock.

So how does this work?

Matt brings his RV or trailer, parks it on the homesteader’s land and offers up to 20 hours of free labor per week (?!) to help on projects, while sharing and learning skills.

From FarmHopLife.com:

What you get:

  • 20 hours a week of Matt’s time
  • 10 hours a week of Kaitie’s time
  • UNLIMITED children time
  • strong work ethic
  • experience
  • connections

What we get:

  • Truck and trailer parking
  • 1 family meal a day
  • Learning opportunities
  • Permission to take pictures/record
    • while still respecting your privacy
  •  Chance to help your neighbors when needed
